Home visit vs. the clinic

The same care. None of the trek.

A home visit isn't a compromise on quality. For most patients, it removes the parts of physiotherapy that get in the way of actually finishing the program.

What to expect

Your home visit, handled.

If you've never had a physiotherapist come to you, here's exactly how it works — and the answer to what most people quietly wonder.

We bring the whole clinic

A portable treatment table, assessment tools, and exercise equipment arrive with your therapist. You just need a clear space about two metres square — a living-room floor is plenty.

A licensed physiotherapist, every time

Every Physio Vibe therapist is registered with the Ordre professionnel de la physiothérapie du Québec. You'll see their name and credentials before you book — and the license number is public.

The same physio, visit after visit

Recovery works better with continuity. Book your follow-ups with the therapist who already knows your case — not whoever happens to be free that day.

Sixty unhurried minutes

Your first visit is a full hour: a head-to-toe assessment, hands-on treatment, and a home program you can actually keep up with. Follow-ups run 45 minutes.

Receipts your insurer accepts

An itemized OPPQ receipt is emailed after every visit. Submit it to your extended-health or workplace plan exactly as you would for any clinic.

Your health data stays private

Clinical notes are encrypted and handled under Quebec's Law 25 and PIPEDA. Your information is never sold or shared for marketing — ever.

I'd been putting off my knee rehab for months because I couldn't face the commute after work. Having the physio come to me changed everything — I actually finished the program this time.

My father is 82 and getting him to a clinic was a half-day ordeal. Physio Vibe sends the same therapist every week, and she knows exactly where he is in his recovery. Worth every dollar.

Same physiotherapist, same time each week, in my own living room. No waiting room, no parking, no surcharge for being on the West Island. My back is the best it's been in years.

Questions patients ask us.

How do I know if you cover my exact street address?
Coverage is set by the first three characters of your postal code — your Forward Sortation Area. If that code is in our service list, every address inside it is on the route, including yours. Enter your full postal code in the checker at the top of this page for an instant answer.
What if my area isn't covered yet?
Use the “Notify me” form on this page. We add new postal codes every quarter — the South Shore and West Island are expanding fastest right now — and you'll get a single email the moment your street is on the map.
Is there an extra charge for areas far from downtown?
No. The visit is a flat $150 anywhere we operate — Plateau or Pointe-Claire, Brossard or Blainville. Travel time is built into the rate. There is no distance surcharge, ever.
Who actually comes to my home?
A physiotherapist registered with the Ordre professionnel de la physiothérapie du Québec (OPPQ) — the same licensing body that governs every clinic in the province. You see their name and credentials before you book, and their license number is publicly verifiable.
Is it safe to have a therapist come to my home?
Every Physio Vibe physiotherapist is licensed, identity-verified, and insured. You choose which therapist to book, and you know who is arriving and when. Treatment follows the same professional standards as any Quebec clinic — only the location changes.
Will a home visit work as well as going to a clinic?
Often better. You get a full 45–60 minutes one-on-one instead of a shared 20-minute slot, and your therapist sees the actual stairs, bed, desk, or kitchen where your pain happens — so the exercise plan fits your real life, not a generic room.
What do I need to have ready at home?
Just a clear space about two metres square — a living-room floor is plenty. Your therapist brings the treatment table, assessment tools, and any equipment. Wear comfortable clothing you can move in.
Do I have to be home for the whole visit?
Yes. Your physiotherapist needs you present for the assessment and hands-on treatment. Plan for 45–60 minutes; we arrive within a 10-minute window of your booked time.
Can I book a visit for a parent or family member?
Absolutely. Book against the patient's address, not yours — just enter their postal code in the checker. Many of our visits are booked by adult children for an aging parent.
How soon can someone come?
Most areas have same-week availability, and many addresses can be seen within 48 hours. Live appointment times appear as soon as your area is confirmed in the booking window.
Will my insurance cover it?
Most extended-health and workplace insurance plans reimburse private physiotherapy — we email an itemized OPPQ receipt after every visit for you to claim. Quebec's public plan (RAMQ) doesn't cover private physio, the same as it wouldn't at a private clinic.
What's your cancellation policy?
Cancel or reschedule free up to 24 hours before your visit. Inside 24 hours a fee may apply, because your therapist will have set aside the time and the travel for you.

Your physiotherapist is closer than you think.
